How it all began
Mile Higher Media was founded in 2018, but our story began years before, when Kendall Rae started making YouTube videos in 2012. Based in Denver, Colorado, Kendall’s early passion for sharing the truth about true crime sparked the creation of True Crime with Kendall Rae and the later founding of our flagship podcast, Mile Higher Podcast. Joined by her husband Josh Thomas, they set out to create a podcast network that would focus on important issues and provide a platform for those seeking answers. What started in their basement soon grew into a full-fledged media company, focused on giving victims a voice while creating thought-provoking, meaningful content.
Growth and Milestones
In just a few years, Mile Higher Media has seen incredible growth. Within our first year, we crossed the 100,000 listener mark for Mile Higher Podcast, and True Crime with Kendall Rae soared to nearly 7 million followers across platforms. Today, Lights Out and The Sesh continue to grow rapidly, each on the brink of hitting milestone subscriber numbers. Our expansion has also been fueled by our presence on multiple platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, and podcast directories. In addition to scaling our shows, we’ve launched the Higher Hope Foundation, a philanthropic arm dedicated to supporting crime victims and their families. Our growth isn’t just about numbers; it’s about making an impact and contributing to the world in a meaningful way.
